Infectious Diseases Explained
Infectious diseases are illnesses caused by tiny living things called germs, such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites.
These germs can spread from person to person, or from animal to person. Some examples of infectious diseases are colds, flu, and chickenpox.
To prevent getting sick from infectious diseases, it's important to practice good hygiene, such as washing your hands often and covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
It's also important to get vaccinated against certain infectious diseases, like the flu. Additionally, it's important to avoid close contact with people who are sick and to stay home if you're not feeling well.
